Memorial Day 2025

For the third year in a row, Second Chance Heroes continued our meaningful tradition of honoring fallen veterans on Memorial Day by placing red, white, and blue floral arrangements on their graves. We were proud to participate once again in the Madison Veterans Council’s 157th Annual Memorial Day Ceremony at Forest Hill Cemetery in Madison.

This year’s remembrance was especially powerful. Madden and I placed 50 bouquets, focusing on graves that may have otherwise gone unrecognized. What made this year stand out was Madden’s deepening connection to each name—reading them aloud, asking about their branch, role, and wars they fought in. In those quiet moments, each headstone became more than a marker—it became a story worth honoring.

We are deeply grateful to Klein’s Floral & Greenhouses for donating artificial flowers and arranging the fresh floral bouquets that helped bring beauty and dignity to each tribute.

Looking ahead, Second Chance Heroes remains committed to expanding this tradition across the state, and we invite others to join us. Whether through volunteering, donating, or providing flowers, your support helps us ensure these heroes are never forgotten.
